In this era, as long as things related to people pay attention to an “ergonomic principle”, because the design that conforms to this principle makes people feel the most comfortable. So, how to design the wardrobe storage space in line with ergonomic principles?
1. Store small items in the wardrobe part below 650mm;
2. The 650-1850mm area stores seasonal clothes, it is best to hang them for easy access.
3. Place quilts, out-of-season clothes and other infrequently worn objects in the area above 1850mm;
4. The height of the top surface of the drawer should be less than 1250mm to facilitate pulling and pulling. Due to the poor physical flexibility of the elderly, the height of the drawer should be about 1000mm.
After understanding the principles of ergonomics, you should also know the partitions of wardrobe storage: short clothes area, long clothes area, stacking area, small drawer area, hanging trousers area, seasonal clothing area, quilt area, bag area, dressing mirror, etc.
Each small partition has its own corresponding reasonable size.
Short clothing area: The short clothing area generally hangs tops and suits. According to the length of the clothes you wear, the height of the short clothing area cannot be lower than 800mm.
Long coat area: The long coat area generally hangs long windbreakers, long coats, long down jackets, long dresses, etc., and the height cannot be lower than 1300mm.
Stacking area: The stacking area is generally placed with stacked clothes. Calculated by the folded width of the clothes, the width is between 330~400mm, the height is more than 350mm, and the distance between the upper and lower partitions should be between 400~600mm.
Drawer area: The drawers generally store small items such as underwear, socks, bow tie belts, and more drawers can be designed, each of which can be placed separately, with a height of not less than 150mm~200mm.
Hanging pants area: The height of the hanging pants area is generally set between 650mm and 700mm.
Bedding area/out-of-season clothing area: The upper part of the wardrobe is generally used with the least frequency and has a large space, which can be used to place infrequently used items such as quilts and out-of-season clothes, with a height of not less than 400mm.
Dressing mirror: It is very convenient to put a dressing mirror directly in the wardrobe, and the height is about 1000mm-1400mm. The wardrobe dressing mirror can be swivel, and it can be put back into the wardrobe after use without taking up space. If the cabinet door can be opened outwards, you can also choose to hang the dressing mirror behind the door.
In addition to the space size of each partition, the distance between the clothes rail and the top plate is 40mm~60mm, which is a waste of space and cannot be placed in the clothes rack if it is too small. The depth of the wardrobe should not be less than 53cm, otherwise the clothes cannot be hung vertically.
