Redesigning The Kitchen Cabinets, I Won’t Be Doing These Designs Again

European Kitchen Cabinets

There are many points involved in custom kitchen cabinets, and they are very important. For example, the size, layout, and precision of the scale will directly affect the aesthetics of the overall kitchen cabinet. Today, I will share with you the 8 major design points of kitchen cabinets, as well as 3 major considerations, hoping to bring a little help to families without decoration.

Design

1. The range hood and stove should not be close to the wall as much as possible to avoid the edge of the pot and the wall conflicting.

2. The side wall of the kitchen cabinet should consider the protruding door line to avoid being affected when the door is opened and closed.

3. There should be enough operating space between the sink and the stove, not too far, otherwise running back and forth during cooking will reduce the cooking efficiency.

4. The accessories of the kitchen cabinet are more complicated. If you decorate it yourself, you must pay attention to the installation method and master the standardized characteristics of the accessories.

5. Pay attention to the combination of the corners of the kitchen countertops and must have a reasonable area range to avoid breakage caused by the influence of the force.

6. The reserved position of the socket must be far away from the sink. The number of sockets is designed according to the number of electrical appliances. In addition, 2-3 more are reserved to prevent other sockets from being damaged or used when buying other electrical appliances.

7. The upper water pipe should not be less than 400mm, and the sewer pipe should not exceed 100mm, or not less than 200mm.

8. The standard size of kitchen cabinets is 700 high and 300 deep for hanging cabinets, 800 high and 550 deep for floor cabinets, and 700 between hanging cabinets. This size standard is basically a reference for decoration companies to calculate prices.

Three major considerations

1. It is best not to design round or irregular cabinets, because the price is expensive and the size is not easy to grasp.

2. The net size of the side panel of the cut corner cabinet or shallow cabinet shall not be less than 60MM, so as not to affect the installation of the hinge base.

3. It is best not to design hanging cabinets or shelves for European-style range hoods. It is best to design flip doors on the hanging cabinets of Chinese-style range hoods.
